BKTV is a cable access, student run (under supervision), television station. The program is designed to provide an overview of a television studio. Students have opportunities to participate in all aspects of television production. Students in the program learn the basics of video camera usage, editing, interviewing, script writing, and on-air production techniques.
We go on location and tape sports events live (when possible),
and then just tape and air many things like: various programs put on by
the Thespians, away sporting events, and many other events put on by the
other schools (Not just the High School), here in Farmington.

This is our interview set where we do various live shows and daily school announcements. (Notice to the right of the picture, those are the bluescreens for superimposing various images when needed.)

Here is our editing room. This room can be used for live or post editing, various projects and shows.

This is our programming room. We use this room to program different shows for airing throughout the week on our cable channel. The computer to the right is used for creating different announcements and schedules that the city of Farmington might be interested in. The graphics are aired continually on our scroll board when we are not airing taped or live events.

This is the Panasonic Supercam. This is one of the official cameras used by BKTV. We use it to tape various events that we will air in the future.
